Fresh Air's Terry Gross Takes the Stage at DC Event

If you're a fan of Fresh Air and NPR, save the evening of Thursday, June 9th, for "This is NPR...An Evening with Terry Gross," a memorable night of storytelling and personal reflections from the host who has interviewed 8,000 of the country's most amazing writers, musicians, actors, directors, and newsmakers.

Hear some of her favorite moments from the Fresh Air archives, including the best and the worst, the touching and the outrageous. She's ready to tell tales out of school, revealing who unnerved her, who refused to answer her questions, and who simply stood up and walked out on her. But she'll also talk about who surprised her the most, and who moved her deeply. And you will have a chance to ask Terry questions, when she turns the mic over to the audience.

The evening is part of NPR's year-long 40th anniversary celebration. It will be hosted by WAMU's Diane Rehm of The Diane Rehm Show. And the Q & A will be moderated by NPR's Michel Martin, host of NPR's Tell Me More.

THIS IS NPR. . . AN EVENING WITH TERRY GROSS will take place at The Lincoln Theatre (1215 U Street, NW), on June 9, 2011, at 7:30pm.

Seating is General Admission. Tickets are $40 (one dollar for each year NPR's been on the air!). Ticket information.
