The Times of India says Pakistan would welcome an Indian commission that's examining the Mumbai terror attacks. In November, 2008, a handful of Pakistani-based gunmen terrorized the city over three days, killing 160 people. The countries are old enemies and the BBC describes the agreement as a diplomatic breakthough.
Fighters loyal to Ivory Coast president Alassane Ouattara claim they've taken two towns from troops fighting for rival president Laurent Gbagbo. NPR's Ofeibea Quist-Arcton tells NPR Newscasts the strategic victories are in the country's cocoa growing region; Ouattara fighters are closer to ocean docks at San Pedro, the world's top exporting cocoa port.
Australia's Herald Sun reports hackers broke into email accounts of Prime Minister Julia Gillard and several other senior ministers in February and had access for about a month. The report says Australian intelligence suspects foreign hackers are to blame, including China. Gillard told The Australian the compromised email account one she uses to talk with constituents and her high- level work is safe on a more secure network.
Gift basket maker Harry and David has declared bankruptcy. NPR's Jeff Brady tells Morning Edition the company will still deliver its mouth-watering fruit and candy because creditors are forgiving some of the Oregon company's debt. Harry and David owes nearly $200 million dollars to Wells Fargo Bank.
