Lott Resigns

NPR's Brian Naylor reports on Trent Lott's announcement yesterday that he would not be majority leader of the Senate when Congress convenes in the new year. The statement came after a two-week controversy over the Senator's remarks about the 1948 pro-segregation presidential campaign of Strom Thurmond.
