A private university in central Kentucky is maintaining a flat tuition rate along with no admission testing requirement.
Midway University will remain test optional through the 2023-24 academic year. For students considering attending the private school next fall, taking a standardized test like the ACT or SAT will not be required. Earlier this year Midway announced it would hold tuition rates where they are, the fourth year in a row without a tuition hike. Ellen Gregory is vice president of marketing and communications.
“We do think holding our tuition has obviously impacted enrollment because it is top of mind for everyone that’s sending their kids to school,” said Gregory.
The cost for an undergrad is just over $12 thousand dollars a semester. She noted 90% of students receive some form of financial aid.
The total enrollment at Midway exceeds 18 hundred which includes those participating online. Incoming freshmen will arrive this Friday to take part in weekend orientation. Classes start a week from today.
