The Federal Emergency Management Agency has opened two additional mobile registration sites in flood-impacted eastern Kentucky counties.
FEMA mobile registration workers are now found in Floyd and Pike Counties. Officials there can assist flood survivors who experienced uninsured losses. The Floyd County site is located in the Martin Community Center in Langley and the Pike County mobile service is found along U.S. 23 in Jenkins.
There are five other previously opened similar centers in Breathitt, Clay, Letcher, Knott, and Perry Counties. Flood victims can go to any of these centers and get help applying for FEMA assistance.
The federal dollars can be used for temporary housing, basic home repairs, or other uninsured needs such as childcare, transportation, and medical, funeral, or dental needs.
