Members of the Jessamine County community are remembering Sheriff Kevin Corman. The longtime law enforcement officer died suddenly Sunday. Jerry Wagner is a retired sheriff from Fleming County and the executive director of the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association. Wagner said he knew Corman for 35 years.

“Sheriff Corman and I spoke for about 30 minutes on the phone this past Thursday and you know he was still, he was uptick. He was still all about the people of Jessamine County. That’s just the way he was,” said Wagner

Wagner called Corman a great friend, a true law enforcement person, and a people person. The Lexington Herald reports that Corman appeared to have died from natural causes.
