Lexington Homebuilders Breaks Ground on House for Veteran

A group of Central Kentucky home builders is constructing a house for a U.S. military veteran.  Iit's a project offered by a 62 year old trade organization.

The Home Builders of Lexington has broken ground on a new home in the Brookfield Chase subdivision.  Executive Director Todd Johnson says the plan is to identify a veteran who lives in or has a need to relocate to Lexington and provide a home for the vet and his or her family.  Home Builders Care Chair Mike Brill says the house will not be free, but it will be made affordable for the chosen family.  Applications are being selected from active, retired, wounded warrior and disabled veterans, as well as surviving family.?
