2024 could prove to be a year when states can take advantage of federal dollars in addressing climate change issues. That’s according to Lane Boldman with the Kentucky Conservation Committee. Boldman said the federal funds are expected to support everything from electric vehicle advances to public lands and other environmental measures.
“The challenge is a lot of the funding is coming through state agencies that may not have enough staff to handle some of these new grants and funds. We need to get civic groups involved to help to do the projects that these funds can supply,” said Boldman.
When it comes to growth in the solar area, Boldman said there are currently three formal solar programs in Louisville, Lexington, and Frankfort.
