Polls had barely closed in western Kentucky when the Associated Press made its determination: Kentucky would be the first state declared for President Donald J Trump. More than 60 percent of voters chose the Republican incumbent over Democrat Joe Biden.

And that’s a trend that continued all down the ballot — all across the state.
