Midway University is announcing a freeze of student tuition for the upcoming academic year. The private Central Kentucky university is finishing this school year with online instruction only.
In a statement from Midway, President John Marsden says students and families are facing various stresses connected with coronavirus including financial strain. He says it’s hoped the tuition freeze for the upcoming school year helps ease any financial burden in planning for a college education.
Midway officials had already announced the school would waive the ACT and SAT requirement for the fall of 2020. And the private university is also honoring all merit aid awards from the previous 2019-2020 academic year.
Midway Spokeswoman Ellen Gregory said there’s no additional information regarding fall instruction format.
