Kentucky Counties Reporting More COVID Deaths than the State

Far more people have died of COVID-19 than Kentucky’s official total says, according to data from local health departments. That’s because state officials have a backlog of cases to review, and it means the state is, at times, reports new deaths that are actually weeks and months old. Ryan Van Velzer has this report.
