Kentucky Sets New Covid-19 Record As State Reports 1,275 New Cases Saturday Oct. 3

On Saturday, Governor Andy Beshear reported the largest one day total of new coronavirus cases in the Commonwealth.  Beshear reported 1,275 new Covid-19 cases and 8 deaths.  The state has now lost 1,205 residents to the virus.

In a prerecorded video message, Beshear expressed his concern about the growth of the virus. “This is our highest number of cases ever. This is the highest number of cases per week ever and we have one more day that will add to the count, and it shows that we have to do better, ” said Beshear.

The state positivity rate increased to 4.74%.
