Another Record Setter at Keeneland

KEENELAND.COM

The racing fans keep coming to Lexington’s historic Keeneland track.  The just completed fall meeting was another record breaker. Keeneland set attendance records for the fourth consecutive race meet.  On-track fans totaled more than 266 thousand, a two and a half percent increase over a year ago.  Average daily attendance was up by the same amount.

Keeneland President Bill Thomason said “Despite record rainfall on opening Fall Stars weekend and earlier than normal col temperatures, our fans still turned out in record numbers.” All sources wagering on Keeneland races was also a fall meet record.  And Jockey Rosie Napravnik won 17 races to become the first female to capture the leading rider title at Keeneland.
