Midway University Announces Record Enrollment In Undergraduate Class

midway.edu

Midway University is announcing record enrollment in its undergraduate class for the fifth consecutive year.  School officials point to a number of factors for the consistent increases.

The largest incoming class of 283 tops last year’s mark by 11 students.  Midway Spokeswoman Ellen Gregory says the initial growth is attributed to a move to coeducation five years ago.  She says the subsequent growth can be tied to career focused education, athletic and co-curricular opportunities in a safe rural environment, and being close to larger cities which offer other amenities.

Gregory says there are new facilities and renovations without incurring new debt.   Gregory says the total enrollment at Midway including daytime, evening, and online undergraduate and graduate programs plus dual credit comes to 1810.  In Lexington, Transylvania University’s enrollment hovers around one thousand and at Danville’s Centre College it’s more than 14 hundred.
