Kentucky's Coronvirus Cases Fall Sunday; Governor Still Concerned About Positivity Rate

Reported coronavirus cases across Kentucky fell Sunday compared to Saturday’s numbers.   Governor Beshear remains concerned about the rate of infection.

Governor Beshear reported 425 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday.  That’s down from 801 cases recorded on Saturday.  The governor says the state ended the week with 330 fewer cases than last week.  But, Beshear also said he anticipates the positivity rate will be higher, meaning it continues to spread, quote, “aggressively.”  He reported one new death, raising the total to 773 Kentuckians lost to the virus.  Kentucky Public Health Commissioner Steven Stack said there were rising case counts in all but five counties last week.  Stack added he’s encouraged by the many citizens taking the disease seriously and wearing masks.?
