Governor Reports High Levels Of Coronavirus Deaths And Cases Wednesday

The daily report on coronavirus cases across Kentucky continue to demonstrate widescale spread of the disease.  Much emphasis this week is on vaccinations.

Governor Beshear announced Wednesday the fourth highest daily COVID-19 case count and the third highest report of new coronavirus deaths.  The governor’s office reported 4560 cases and 47 deaths. The positivity rate stands at 12.29%. 

Governor Beshear says the Commonwealth will pass 3000 deaths, something he called “tragic.”  He says further loss of life can be stopped with mask wearing and following rules and restrictions. 

The governor has indicated new information about the state’s vaccination efforts will come Thursday.?
