President Trump has tapped Kentucky’s junior U.S. Senator to serve on a congressional coronavirus task force. Senator Rand Paul will join a bi-partisan group of lawmakers that will help consider the safest ways and best timing to re-open the economy.
The Bowling Green Republican and physician by trade issued a statement saying he’ll will work with the White House to get the economy up and running again and let Americans get safely back to work.
Paul has recovered from COVID-19 himself and is volunteering at a Bowling Green hospital to relieve other physicians responding to the outbreak.
