EKU Cancels Remainder of Spring 2020 In-Person Classes

Late Tuesday afternoon, Eastern Kentucky University announced that in response to the coronavirus, in-person classes are canceled for the rest of the Spring 2020 academic semester.

A release from the university states that all instruction will be delivered remotely beginning March 23, through the end of the semester for spring 2020 courses. EKU online courses will continue to follow their original schedule.

Faculty will contact students by Wednesday, March 18, about the extension of remote instruction.

Students are asked to return to their off-campus permanent homes. Students without permanent housing will have to receive special permission to remain on campus.

The Spring 2020 Commencement Ceremony has been postponed.

Additionally, all campus buildings are closed to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17.
