A portion of one of Lexington’s busiest roads is being milled and paved.

According to the state Transportation Cabinet, work on the 1.3 mile stretch of Nicholasville Road between Toronto and Reynolds roads began Sunday and will continue through Saturday, September 28th. Fortunately for motorists, single and double-lane closures in the north- and southbound lanes will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. and won’t require detours – and work will cease Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings.
