A monument is going up in downtown Lexington, as part of the Freedom Train Project, honoring Louis and Harriet Haden, escaped slaves from The East End.
In today's interview, Kate Savage speaks with one of the leaders in getting the monument built, and a historian who gives some background on the couple who escaped from slavery.

That was Arts Contributor Kate Savage speaking to "Ruth Hunt Candies" owner Larry Kezele, and Historian Yvonne Giles.

In addition to Arts contributor at WEKU, Kate Savage is Executive Director of Arts Connect Lex. More on that organization is at artsconnectlex.org.
