Transylvania University Students Receiving Federal CARES Act Funds

blog.transy.edu

Transylvania University officials are announcing plans to distribute federal coronavirus related dollars to students at the Lexington school.   The funding is aimed at helping students cover expenses tied to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19.

Each full time Transy student who receive a federal Pell Grant for the current term will receive $1000 through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.  All other full-time, degree-seeking Transylvania students who were eligible to file for student aid, whether they filed one or not, will receive a $250 CARES Act grant.

These are one-time grants from the federal government and do not require any repayment.
