Eastern Standard, Is Fracking Coming to Kentucky?

Richard Turner

Kentucky landowners have reported being approached by companies wishing to lease their land, potentially for large scale oil and gas production.   The region in question, referred to as the Rogersville Shale, stretches across Eastern Kentucky and into neighboring West Virginia.

On the next Eastern Standard, could fracking be coming to the commonwealth, and if so, what effects would it have?

Guests: Bill Barr,  past president of the  Kentucky Oil & Gas Association and current chairman of its Government Affairs Committee;  Jim Scheff Executive Director of Kentucky Heartwood and activist involved in "Frack Free Foothills; Brandon C. Nuttall with the Kentucky Geological Survey."
