Capital punishment has been used in the US since Colonial Days, for crimes as varied as murder, theft, sexual perversity or denying the existence of God.
Despite efforts to do away with the death penalty, it is still a legal punishment in 32 states.
On this week’s Eastern Standard, we’ll meet a criminal justice exert who’s been responsible for executions and now opposes the death penalty.
Guests: Allen Ault, Dean of the EKU College of Justice and Safety; Ray Larson, Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney.
