New Record Highs For Coronavirus Cases And Deaths Reported In Kentucky

Governor Beshear is reporting record highs for both coronavirus cases and deaths Friday.  The governor announced 3,173 cases of COVID-19 and 25 additional deaths.  The positivity rate stands at 8.6% and there are 1,358 people hospitalized across the Commonwealth. 

In his prepared remarks Beshear said, quote, “Like almost every state in America, we are seeing a surge here in Kentucky that is concerning and deadly,”. “But like every state in America, the power to stop it is in our hands.” 

The governor also called it the toughest spot Kentuckians have been in so far during the pandemic.
