Attitudes About Safe Sex
It's been 30 years since the first documented cases of HIV/AIDS, and it doesn't seem to evoke the fear it once did in America. Fewer people are being tested for sexually transmitted diseases, and condom sales have flatlined. The national media campaigns for HIV/AIDS education that were heavily promoted in the 80s and 90s aren't as prevalent today. Neal Conan talks with sexual health experts Vallerie Wagner, Pepper Schwartz, and Sarah Brown about how attitudes have changed when it comes to practicing safe sex

Syria Update
Hundreds of Syrians are fleeing across the border to Turkey, as the uprising continues to intensify in the north. Earlier this week, the Syrian government claimed that 120 soldiers and security personnel were killed in the town of Jisr al-Shughur. The U.N. Security Council is deliberating a resolution condemning President Bashar Assad's crackdown on protesters. Host Neal Conan talks with Rami Khouri, director of the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy at the American University in Beirut, about the latest developments in Syria and the possible outcomes of this uprising.

Housing Collapse Update
The bad news -for some- is that it looks like the housing market is slumping into a double dip recession. After dropping 30 percent, home prices started to rise at the beginning of the year, but they are marching downward again. Right now buying makes more sense than renting that at any other time in the last 25 years, which should be good news for people who want to buy. But many buyers are hesitant to take the plunge. Neal Conan speaks with NPR correspondent Chris Arnold about why Americans aren't buying homes.

Rod Blagojevich Re-Trial
The defense team for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is expected to wrap up its closing arguments today. The case will then head to the jury after a rebuttal from the prosecution, which gave its three-hour closing arguments yesterday. This is the second trial for Blagojevich, who's accused of trying to sell the Senate seat of President Barack Obama, and a much more toned-down version. Chicago Tribune political correspondent Rick Peason will join host Neal Conan to detail the trial, including the testimonies of mayor Rahm Emanuel and U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr (D-Ill.)
