Our Partners
WEKU, Habitat for Humanity, and 84 Lumber of
Richmond are partnering to build two homes in Madison
County. When you support WEKU with your
financial contribution during our Spring
Fund Drive, 84 Lumber will donate one
framing board to Madison/Clark County
Habitat for Humanity. Our goal of 800
contributions is also the number of
boards it will take to frame two homes
in Madison County.
The sites have been chosen, and
planning is underway for the building of
these two homes. One is in the eastern
Madison County community of Waco; the
other is in Berea. They will be completed in May
and June respectively.
Your renewal membership to WEKU is one way to help.
You may also make an additional contribution to the station
in any amount to help us reach the 800 pledge goal. Your gift in any amount
helps WEKU continue to provide a valuable
public service to central and southeastern
Kentucky – and this spring, it will help
to provide housing for deserving
families. You can also help get the drive off to a great start by issuing a Community Challenge or participating in our New Member Match Fund. You can also help us present a Pledge Free Opera during the drive by making your contribution early. Donations received for the pledge free opera before April 1st will be entered into a drawing for 2 tickets to the Met's HD broadcast at a local theater.
WEKU is grateful that 84 Lumber
agreed to partner with us and with
Habitat for Humanity. If you have the
opportunity, please let them know that you
are too.
